GALACSI

We are a group of scholars in Georgia engaged in pedagogical and research collaborations focused on the Atlantic World, Latin America, and the Caribbean. In addition to building an intellectual community, we are strengthening the institutional ties among universities across the Greater Atlanta area and Georgia more broadly. We aim to support faculty and student development through monthly writing workshops and special events.

In 2018 we received funding and institutional support as an FCHI Interdiscipliary Reseach Seminar (CHIIRS) at the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry at Emory University. GALACSI is co-sponsored by the Wilson Center for Humanities and Arts at the University of Georgia and the Humanities Research Center at Georgia State University.
